THIRANARI THERVU THITTAM YOJANA

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has launched the Thiranari Thervu Thittam Yojana to provide detailed information on semiconductor technologies as well as electronics engineering to government school students from rural areas. The scheme was launched during an event organized at IIT-Madras. Through this scheme, IIT-Madras will provide assistance to 1 lakh students every year, who are really interested in electronics field and want to pursue further studies in this field.

Through this scheme, students of class 9th to 12th of rural government schools will be provided lectures and practical experience by IIT-Madras. Announcing the scheme, CM MK Stalin said that 1000 government school students of class 10th have already been selected, which will include 500 boys and 500 girls. All these students will be provided financial assistance by the government so that they can pursue their studies without any hassle.

TN Thiranari Thervu Thittam Yojana – Monthly Stipend Amount

Those students who will be selected for Thiranari Thervu Thittam Yojana will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs.1000. Out of which Rs 12,000 per year will be provided to each beneficiary of the Thiranari Thervu Thittam Scheme. This stipend will not be available till 12th class but it can be availed till undergraduate and post graduation. 

Eligibility for the TN Thiranari Thervu Thittam Yojana

• Students of Tamil Nadu state will be eligible to take benefits of the scheme.
• The applicant should have interest in areas like electronics and semiconductor technologies etc.
• Those students who are studying in rural government schools will be given priority under the scheme.
