ANNAL AMBEDKAR BUSINESS CHAMPION SCHEME

Tamil Nadu Government has started the Annal Ambedkar Business Champion Scheme. • The scheme will provide 35% capital subsidy up to Rs 1.5 crore to each beneficiary and 6% interest subsidy for starting a new manufacturing, service or business operation or expanding an existing one.
• The sanctioned working capital of the project will be eligible for interest subsidy for a maximum period of 02 years.
• To take advantage of this scheme, the age of the applicant should be 18 to 55 years.
• Capital subsidy will be available for the entire project cost including investment in land (up to 20% of the total project cost), equipment and machinery as per the requirements of the Government.
• A retired banker will be selected to serve as the credit mentor for each district and a state level steering committee will be set up to oversee the operation of the program on a quarterly basis.
• Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute Training will be provided to the selected recipients.
