Selection Process Of the Beneficiaries Under The Scheme
- The Department of Agriculture will publish the advertisement through print and electronic media inviting applications from the respective website.
- Applications will be collected by AEA along with the bank account details of the beneficiaries along with their mobile numbers.
- The selection of the beneficiary will be as per GP/VDP.
- The list of all the beneficiaries to the Gram Panchayats will be compiled by the concerned ADO, and this list will be placed before the District Level Committee after scrutiny.
- List of farmers of AEA/ADO will be approved by DLC
- The SC and ST farmers will be selected as per the State Reservation Act which is 7% for SC, 10% for ST(P) and 5% for ST(H).
- After approval of the beneficiary list the list will be sent to the Director of Agriculture along with the bank account details and mobile number details.
Implementation Of the Scheme
- Financial assistance will be provided by the Director of Agriculture to implement the scheme.
- This assistance will be approved and released to the Director of Agriculture on submission of demand letter.
- It will be the responsibility of the Director of Agriculture to take steps to coordinate the preparation of the list of beneficiaries.
- The amount of the scheme will be kept in a separate account.
- The scheme will be operated on Direct Benefit Transfer mode.
- After receiving the list of all approved beneficiaries, the director will arrange to send the request to ASFAC to transfer the amount to the beneficiary’s bank account.
- After that, the amount will be credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
- Financial assistance of Rs 5000 per beneficiary will be provided in a single installment.
- Beneficiaries will be required to provide an undertaking declaring that the fund will be used only for purchase of agricultural equipment.
- If the fund is used for any other purpose then appropriate legal action will be taken against the farmer.
- It will be ensured that the financial assistance given to the farmers on the responsibility of the District Agriculture Officer is spent only on the purchase of agricultural equipment.
Administrative Contingency under Krishi Sa Sajuli Scheme
- 3% of the total allocated amount for the scheme will be approved as administrative expenditure.
- Publicity will be done to make the scheme successful.
- Amounts spent on awareness generation activities, which include distribution of IEC material, publication of advertisements, running awareness campaigns, etc., are to be covered under administrative amount.
Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Assam.
- Applicant should be a farmer.
- Small and marginal farmers are eligible to take advantage of the scheme.
- Beneficiary age should be more than 21 years
- Applicant should be involved in farming for at least three consecutive years
- KCC card holders will be eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
- Only one farmer of a family can take advantage of the scheme
- Tenant farmers / sharecroppers will also be considered under the minimum area of cultivation, such as 1 acre/3 bigha.
