Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Yojana
Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Yojana has been launched by the Andhra Pradesh government to improve the status of women and strengthen them financially by becoming self-dependent. Under this, sheep and goats will be distributed to 45, 60 years old BC, SC, ST and minority women through the Raitu Trust Center with the financial help of the government. For which 2.49 lakh sheep and goats will be distributed in the state. 1,868.63 crore will be spent by the state government for this scheme. In addition, the amount of Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Yojana 2020 in Andhra Pradesh will be given for Rs 75000. Which will help with the cost of transportation and insurance. To strengthen the dairy sector, 4.69 lakh units of cows and buffaloes will be distributed along with units 3,500 crore. Partnerships will be provided to accelerate the scheme and those who wish to be self-reliant will be provided with more business opportunities. Due to which employment opportunities will be available for women of all backward categories. With this, the status of women will be better in the state and their income will also increase.
Distribution will be done in three phases under the scheme
- Sheep and goats will be distributed in three phases. In the first phase, 20,000 units will be delivered by March 2021.
- In the second phase, from April to August 2021, delivery will be in 1,30,000 units
- And the third phase will be delivered in 99,000 units from September to December 2021.
Beneficiaries will be distributed according to one unit
- Under the Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Yojana, women will be given a male sheep or goat (14 + 1) in each unit (unit) with 14 lambs or goats (5-6 months separated from the mother). The cost of a unit has been fixed at Rs 75 lakh.
- Beneficiary women can buy Braun Sheep of Nellore, Dodipi, Macharla Braun, Famous Sheep of Vijayanagar, Block Bengal or local sheep and goat. But every beneficiary will get one unit only.

Objective

Agreement with Allana Foods Association for this Scheme
The state government has tied up with Allana Foods Association for this scheme. The government has given women the option of selection through the prescribed procedure. For this, two veterinarians, a selection representative and a bank officer have been appointed. A five-member committee of beneficiaries will visit the Raitu Trust Center or Cattle Market as directed at the prescribed price and inspect sheep and goats. Purchases will be made as per the interest of the beneficiary. Earrings will be worn in the ears to identify purchased sheep and goats. There will also be a facility of insurance for sheep and goats for three years.
