Assam government has started Lakhpati Baideo Yojana to make the women of the state self-reliant. Through this scheme, the state government wants to make SHG members millionaires. For which financial assistance will be provided to the beneficiary women to start their new business in rural areas. Lakhpati Baideo Yojana will be run in the entire state, so that eligible beneficiaries can get the benefits of the scheme on time. Objective of the Lakhpati Baideo Scheme

The aim is to provide financial assistance to the women of the state to start businesses so that they can be motivated to take advantage of the scheme.

Financial Assistance available for Lakhpati Baideo Scheme

1. For Lakhpati Baideo Yojana, Rs 35,000 will be provided to the eligible beneficiaries through 3 installments.
2. In the first year, SHG workers will get Rs 10,000 from the Government.
3. Next year the government will provide Rs 12,500 as the second installment.
4. Whereas in the third year, they will get the same amount (Rs 12,500) as bank loan as in the second year.
5. The applicant will have to pay the loan amount on time.

Eligibility for Assam Lakhpati Baideo Yojana

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam state.
• The beneficiary should be a woman.
• The age of the applicant should be more than 18 years.
• The beneficiary must have a domicile certificate.
• People who belong to General and OBC category do not have more than 3 children.
• Apart from this, those who fall in SC/ST/Moram/Tea-Tribe/Matal category do not have more than 4 children.
• The applicant must attach a proper business plan with the MMUA application form.
• Applicants participating in Amrit Vriksha Andolan are eligible to receive grants under Lakhpati Baidev Scheme.
• The beneficiary’s Aadhaar should be linked to the bank.
